Résumé
Des mesures des Débits Sanguins Cérébraux (D.S.C.) régionaux par inhalation de Xénon 133 ont été réalisés avec une gamma caméra sur 37 patients justiciables d’une endartériectomie carotidienne. Tous ces patients ont subi 2 séries de mesures bilatérales : la première, une semaine avant l’intervention, la seconde, une semaine après. On constate, en postopératoire, 26 augmentations des D.S.C. hémisphériques du côté opéré (70 % des cas). Le plus fort accroissement est de + 58%. La moyenne des D.S.C. hémisphériques du côté lésionnel passe de 33,6 ± 66,6 ml/mm/100 g en pré-opératoire à 36,2 ± 6,4 après l’intervention. Cette différence est significative selon le test de Wilcoxon (p < 0,05). Ces résultats paraissent prouver qu’une estimation postopératoire est possible à partir des seules valeurs initiales des débits sanguins cérébraux.
Summary
Regional cerebral blood flow (CBF) measurements by inhalation of Xenon 133 were performed with a gamma camera on 37 patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy. All these patients underwent 2 series of bilateral measurements: the first, one week before the operation, the second, one week after. Postoperatively, 26 increases in hemispheric CBF were observed on the operated side (70% of cases). The highest increase was +58%. The mean hemispheric CBF on the injured side increased from 33.6 ± 66.6 ml/mm/100 g preoperatively to 36.2 ± 6.4 after the operation. This difference is significant according to the Wilcoxon test (p < 0.05). These results appear to prove that a postoperative estimate is possible from the initial values of cerebral blood flow alone.
